Chargers and power adapters

Chargers and power adapters

Chargers and power adapters are power conversion devices that convert AC mains voltage into stable low-voltage DC power for electronic devices. Such products are subject to FCC electromagnetic compatibility requirements for the US market, requiring relevant compliance testing and certification to suppress electromagnetic interference and avoid signal disruption to surrounding electronic equipment.
Chargers and power adapters are essential power supply accessories for consumer electronics, including wall plug adapters, travel chargers, multi-port charging adapters, USB power adapters and power bricks for laptops, tablets, mobile phones and small household electronics.

During operation, these power conversion circuits will generate conducted and radiated electromagnetic interference. Under FCC regulation Part 15, power adapters without built-in wireless transmitting modules are categorized as unintentional radiators. Before import, sale and distribution in the United States, they must complete FCC SDoC Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity certification to prove their electromagnetic emission levels stay within legal limits.

Our compliance service for chargers and power adapters covers EMC pre-testing, formal laboratory testing, technical document sorting, US responsible agent setup, SDoC declaration filing, compliance label guidance and post-market regulatory consulting, ensuring your products meet US entry requirements and pass customs inspection smoothly.
